According to Symantec, such a vulnerability can be used for taking complete control over vulnerable devices. Because the browser opens PDF files automatically, it is possible for a hacker to embed malicious code into the file. To prevent Mobile Safari from opening PDF files automatically, it is required to jailbreak a handset and then install an application, which is known as PDF Loading Warner. With the help of this app you will be asked for permission to open a PDF file. It was declared by US authorities that it was legal for owners of iPhones to jailbreak their devices. But in case if you do not want to got through jailbreaking, still there is one more option, i.e. to switch to another web browser, such as Opera.
